I was looking for you in the desert
Breathing in sand, blindly feeling for your hand. Pouring out of my eyes were abandoned tears.
My entire world was covered in disappointment with a hopeful foundation.
As the wind increased I took it as you.
Excited but scared. Could it be you?
Snakes surround me. Maybe you had finally slithered my way.
Confronted with a gust. Knocked down. Maybe I’d find you on the ground.
I would have started to dig if I could keep my balance.
“I ought to close my eyes and be somewhere else.” I considered. “I don’t think you’re here. I can’t see or hear.
